Before You Install

1.) If you are installing Event Alarm™ to a Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 system, the program is dependent on version 2.5 or greater of the Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC 2.5). Here are two download links to MDAC version 2.5:

MDAC 2.5 (English Version) - Dorian Software Creations, Inc.
MDAC 2.5 (English & Other Languages) - Microsoft Corporation
Note: Windows 2000 does not require an MDAC installation, as MDAC 2.5 is built into the OS.

2.) Event Alarm™ was designed to run on Microsoft Windows NT Workstation/Server 4.0 SP6+, Microsoft Windows 2000 (Professional or Server), Microsoft Windows XP Pro, or Microsoft Windows Server 2003. In the interest of data conversion performance on Windows NT 4.0, it is best to install Event Alarm™ to a workstation or member server, NOT a domain controller.


Event Alarm™ Listener Console

Whenever an alarm is tripped and a notification is generated, any administrator running the Event Alarm™ Listener Console will receive a notification message and audible alert. Just download the full Event Alarm™ package for installation as an optional component.
