Event Alarm ®
Agent Optional, EVTX Compatible,
Event Log and Syslog Monitoring
Every day, your Windows ® NT / 2000 / 2003 / 2008 servers and Windows XP / Vista ® workstations
are pumping out thousands of new event log messages. In addition, UNIX servers
and routers are rapidly generating syslog files.
These messages - whether EVT, EVTX, or syslog files -
contain important data about system hardware, application
performance, and security on your network.
Regulatory standards - such as HIPAA or Sarbanes-Oxley - or internal security policies may require that you keep an eye on all of this log data. Unfortunately, many network security professionals are unable to monitor log files as they should, usually because of competing projects, lack of resources, or a lack of understanding of the nature of the event log and its unique event IDs.
Event Alarm, from Dorian Software Creations, is an easy-to-configure
application that can alert network administrators the moment specific
events happen throughout the network. Running behind the scenes as a
Windows service, Event Alarm constantly watches over your machines'
event logs and network's syslogs, immediately notifying you at
the first sign of trouble.
Implementation is easy: It requires no special knowledge of the increasingly complex event log lexicon and its EVT and new EVTX identifiers.
